Policy Status : Suggested
That the Govt require for all learners & Dangerous drivers to do a defensive driving course. this will cost more money to set up but recover from fees

Driving Skills. All learner drivers to do a defensive driving course, as part of the essential requirements to obtain a drivers licence, which is charged for at cost. The great number of lives which are lost or are badly affected, the damage and losses caused, injuries caused, will be reduced through a wider common sense approach to having a license to drive. It is not a right, it must be earned, and part of that, is to properly pass a defensive driving course, that is paid for by the person who wants a license. One of the things that I think will make a difference to learners, is to walk, jog and run into a padded wall, and to understand that what this feels like, at maximum of 25kph, is compared to what may occur between a car hitting a wall, or worse, hitting another car traveling at 100kph in the opposite direction. Greater understanding is required of consequences, and greater attention paid to avoiding accidents which are avoidable
